About Us

Our farming story begins in the Pajaro Valley when Joseph “Joe” Peixoto (pronounced Peh-SHOTE) emigrated from the Azores at the turn of the century. Joe’s youngest son, Francis, was born and raised in Watsonville, California, and spent his whole life around agriculture.

Francis made his career working for a local fertilizer company who sold agricultural chemicals to local farmers. In 1948 Francis married a local girl, Sadie Howes, with whom he raised a family of 7 children- 5 boys and 2 girls.

All seven children adopted a passion for agricluture. Bobby Peixoto manages Pajaro Valley Laser Leveling.  Dick Peixoto owns and operates the largest family-owned and operated solely organic vegetable grower/shipper operation in California. Gary Peixoto manages Pajaro Valley Irrigation. The Peixoto's passion for the land and environment permeates through all aspects of each of their operations.

Pajaro Valley Laser Leveling has been in business since 1986. Bobby constantly researches the best possible ways to prepare the soil for planting. They use cutting-edge technology and genuinely care about each and every job. We currently have over 20 scrapers and are sure to have what you need.
